Everton and Ukraine full-back Vitaliy Mykolenko admitted he does not understand football after his Scotland prediction against Germany went wrong.

Ahead of the Euro 2024 opener between Germany and Scotland, the Ukraine international had made a prediction that either Scotland would upset the hosts with a win or would hold them to a draw. However, in reality, the Germans routed the Scots 5-1 to begin their journey on a high.

After his prediction went wrong, Mykolenko publicly admitted that he did not understand football as Scotland managed to take just one shot against the host nation and had only 27 per cent possession throughout the game.
WHAT MYKOLENKO SAID
Speaking to a reporter, the 25-year-old said, "I was for the Scots, and I said there would be a draw or the Scots would win, but I realised that I don't know anything about football because they didn't even make a single shot."
